Their garden was more based on the countryside with lots of grass but more like a meadow as it was left to grow long and had wild flowers through it. They had a lovely barn with weathervanes on it and then an informal seating area made from a few felled trees. It was so relaxed. Some gardens look to be such high maintenance from their pruned roses and clipped grass to their roaming gnome and their perfectly jet washed patio. I can imagine that there is never an opportunity to relax in a perfect garden because you would always be seeing jobs that needed to be done. However, with something a bit more, wild, you can just pretend that it is supposed to be like that. I think I may just have to buy myself a statement weather vane and stop doing the gardening!
